Selangor Boys Back In Training Ground On New Terms

On 28 May 2021, the Malaysia League team received permission from the government to return to undergo camp-based training during the 14-day implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO).

The move was taken following the government's announcement of MCO 3.0 nationwide to control the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic from June 1 to June 14, 2021.

Selangor FC's chief executive officer, Dr. Johan Kamal Hamidon was delighted with the news and thanked those in charge.

I am grateful and honored that the MKN (National Security Council), MSC (National Sports Council), and MFL (Malaysia Football League) can find a good solution by allowing clubs to undergo training to prepare before the league starts (again),” said Dr. Johan.

"We will take this opportunity as best we can and will adhere to the SOPs so that we can protect the football team from this COVID-19 threat."

The Selangor FC 2 team has returned to training starting yesterday. The coaches, officials, and players were stationed at a hotel near the FAS Training Center as required by the camp-based training SOPs.

Meanwhile, the Red Giants' main team will start training next week from June 6 to 14, while the injured players will undergo rehabilitation sessions as usual at the FAS Training Center.

"Insha Allah, we will conduct a comprehensive 'camp-based training' in the near future. Our Liga Premier team, Selangor 2 has already started their training this week, after they underwent the prescribed SOPs such as PCR testing, training venue preparation, and special accommodation.”

"On the other hand, for the Selangor FC main squad, Insha Allah they will also return to training starting next Monday," added Dr. Johan.

Further developments on the main team of Selangor FC will be updated and informed from time to time.

Selangor FC appreciates the concern of the National Security Council (MKN), the Ministry of Health (KKM), and the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) to maintain the approval given to the M-League team to continue training during the total lockdown.

Demi kebanggaan.
